The Mayflower at Taunton

The Mayflower at Taunton

Having just been added to the train, GWR Castle class 4-6-0 No. 5029 Nunney Castle appears to be doing most of the work as it pilots LNER A4 class 4-6-2 no. 60019 Bittern on The Mayflower, bound for Plymouth, out of Taunton on Saturday 11th September 2010. Aided by its second tender, Bittern had brought the train from Euston via the Berks and Hants line without a water stop en route.
