This weekend was the 50th anniversary of the final appearance of the GWR Manor class 4-6-0 on the Cambrian Coast route. With two members of the class in their fleet (The recently overhauled no. 7802 Bradley Manor and no. 7812 Erlestoke Manor) and a guest appearance from no. 7820 Dinmore Manor, the Severn Valley Railway was able to celebrate the anniversary in some style. It is most pleasing to note that these locomotives actually participated in that finale and are still in action today.
The weather on Sunday 15th November was grey and generally dull, but at least it didn't rain.
