Two of the narrow gauge railways of North Wales had 150th Anniversary galas over the early May bank holiday weekend. I only managed to get to the Ffestiniog Railway's event on a very wet Saturday, so made a point of calling in again on my return journey, which also included a detour via Towyn for my first ever visit to the Talyllyn Railway.
