The un-springlike cold and dull conditions prevailing on my visit to the second day of this year's Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala made monochrome the obvious choice for the presentation of almost all of the images included in this gallery. The day turned out to be most enjoyable, despite the weather and a couple of late substitutions to the planned locomotive roster.
