Perhaps the most elusive locomotive in this year's gala was Metropolitan Railway E class 0-4-4T no. 1 as it had only worked a shuttle service between Bridgnorth and Hampton Loade on the first two days of the gala, Here it arrives at the latter station on Sunday 22nd September at the end of the first stage of what will be its only through working to Kidderminster. Note the vintage Metropolitan Railway 1st class coach immediately behind the locomotive.
