A visit to the first day of the Severn Valley Railway's three day Spring Steam Gala. The generally dull weather did not impinge upon the action, with ten locomotives, seven of which were tank engines of mainly GWR pedigree, taking part. Only No 1054, the LNWR Coal Tank, did not complete its booked duties.
