Unfortunately I chose the greyer, colder weekend for my pilgrimage to Glyndyfrdwy for the 6880 Betton Grange Society's Steel, Steam and Stars gala at the Llangollen Railway. Staying at the Station House at Glyndyfrdwy did have the advantage of being able to nip indoors for a warm between shots on the platforms and also the chance to spend extra time with my one year old granddaughters, who were attending their first ever steam gala.
