Having spent the previous day at the A1SLT convention in Chesterfield and Barrow Hill, I was only able to stop off at the GCR for a few hours on my way home on the Sunday morning. Most of my time was spent at Beeches Road Bridge near Loughborough Central station, where I saw all of the locomotives taking part in this year's distinctly LNER themed gala. Now unique examples of LNER classes D49, J72 and K4 all made their debut on GCR metals at this gala.
