The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Cotswold Festival of Steam was a nine day event over two weekends in 2010. I only got to spend one day there however. This year the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway was holding its most ambitious gala yet to celebrate 175 years since the formation of the Great Western Railway. All locomotives attending the gala were Great Western or were built at Swindon. As things turned out, the event was somewhat limited by the effects of the slip at Gotherington which isolated the stretch of line from there to Cheltenham Racecourse and necessitated top-and-tail mode working west of Winchcombe.
