After spending most of the day at the Dean Forest Railway's steam gala, I stopped off on the way home to support Simon Hopkins' evening charter with BR(W) 0-6-0PT No. 1501, which was on a short visit to the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway. As it turned out, the sun gave up shining on the righteous at around 7:30pm so the evening wasn't as long as we had hoped but some good results were had anyway.
